Ishita Shreshtha is a dedicated student in the field of Nanotechnology, who is currently pursuing her PhD at Toronto Metropolitan University. Ishita Shreshtha studied in Sacred Heart School, Ranchi, India until grade 10. It was an all-girls Catholic school under the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary organization and then Ishita pursued the Science Stream with Mathematics in Grade 11 and 12 from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Ranchi, India. She is a PhD Researcher working at the intersection of nanotechnology, Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS), and cancer diagnostics. She builds reproducible assays to read signatures from blood and brings a skeptical, engineering mindset to translating them into real-world tests. Outside the lab, she prototypes AI tools for researchers and writes poetry about the messy parts of life (Read: “365 days of love" a collection of 68 heartfelt poems on how love evolves in a relationship - https://ishreshtha.notion.site). She is also actively involved in building a community that comes together to do great things.
